See the whole.
Shift the system.

I help mission-driven organisations to see their place in the system, collaborate with others to change it, and learn new ways of working that make transformation possible.

About me

I bring two decades of experience supporting social sector organisations as a consultant, researcher and programme manager. I’m a passionate systems thinker and was previously Director of Systems Change at New Philanthropy Capital (NPC). During my time at NPC, I worked with well-known charities like Macmillan, Scope and MS Society as well as pioneering funders like The Robertson Trust, Friends Provident Foundation and The Health Foundation.

I’ve also worked directly for UK charities, a US grantmaker, an Indian NGO, as well as three years in public sector consulting. Working across geographic and sector boundaries has driven my awareness of the connections between issues and my belief that we can do things differently.

I’m a skilled facilitator and love creating spaces that encourage collaboration, imagination, and strategic thinking. I’ve run sessions for diverse groups of people, including boards, service users, frontline staff, volunteers and senior leaders. I work with clients to design environments that feel safe for participants, mitigating power dynamics and using trauma-informed approaches.

Services

My approach combines tools from systems thinking, strategy, and impact practice to shift outcomes at scale. I tailor every project to the unique needs of the organisation I’m working with, bringing in insights and connections from across my networks.

Systems thinking

Seeing the bigger picture; designing strategies for systems change.

I work with mission-driven organisations tackling complex social issues — housing, health, early years, domestic violence, poverty and inequality.

My approach uses tools from systems mapping to futures methodologies to see the bigger picture and dig deeper. I can help you understand the system you’re working in and pinpoint drivers of change, the relationships between them, and leverage points for impact.

Building on this understanding, I can work with you to design effective strategies for influencing systems change. This might mean collaborating across boundaries, working in new ways, shifting power structures, and learning and adapting as you go.

Strategy

Helping you adapt to change and future-proof strategies in a fast-paced world.

I can facilitate a full organisational strategy process from scratch, or work with you on specific decisions and turning points. For example, setting your ‘North Star’ goal, navigating a changing political landscape, or adapting to the rise of AI.

Prioritisation is at the heart of effective strategies. I can support you to plan for different scenarios, make bold decisions, and deploy your resources for maximum impact.

Involving the right mix of stakeholders will make the process more robust and meaningful. I’m skilled at engaging with a wide range of people and passionate about centring lived experience in strategy development.

Impact & learning

Supporting you to understand your impact, learn and improve.

I use tools such as theory of change alongside systems thinking and participatory processes to help you articulate the impact you want to achieve — and the route to getting there.

Once you have articulated your impact goals, it is important to track progress towards them. I support organisations to create impact frameworks that are effective and proportionate.

Learning is essential for long-term impact and a skilled facilitator makes all the difference. I can support groups with shared learning sessions, reflective spaces for individuals, or communities of practice to amplify learning across allies.
